An Evening with George Post
July 16 @ 6:45 pm - 8:30 pm
Speaker: George Post
Presentation: George will be sharing special photographs of client work, with an emphasis on beadwork. He will do an in-studio presentation and demonstrate how he takes amazing photographs of earrings and necklaces. He will also share some props that hold the jewelry in place as he photographs.
Speaker Bio: George Post is a freelance photographer, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Although he does some purely commercial photography, most of his clients are individual artists and craftspeople who work in a variety of 2D and 3D media. Many of them sell their creations on the craft-fair circuit, using George’s photographs of their work to jury into the more prestigious shows throughout America.
A Life Member of ASMP, the American Society of Media Photographers, George also enjoys photography for his own artistic expression. He has a special fondness for colorful, unusual subject matter, and his archives include an eclectic mix of landscapes, cityscapes, astronomical, meteorological, geological, and biological images. George’s love of photographing neon and pyrotechnics led him to San Francisco’s famous Burning Man event, now held every Labor Day weekend in the Black Rock Desert of northwestern Nevada, which he has attended and photographed every year since 1991.
