Kim Shuck is a lifelong bead artist/poet. She took her MFA in Textiles from SF State in the last century. Her work has shown on three continents and featured in books from four. Kim’s work is both lyrically Urban Cherokee and visually whimsical. Her work is danced in pow wows across the country and is part of ceremonial equipment across many tribal/cultural groups.
Kim will talk about inspiration, the specific pieces that she will bring to the event, and her general philosophies about the act of creating.
