Hannah Rosner – Color Theory for Beaders
Hannah Rosner – Color Theory for Beaders

Presentation Content:
Color can make or break a piece of beadwork. We’ll take the mystery out of choosing and combining colors and look at color theory specifically from a beader’s perspective.
We’ll explore the basics of the color wheel, including primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, as well as warm and cool colors, complementary and analogous color schemes.
A heavy dose of how to design and recognize a “good” palette. We will also discuss which colors sell best if you are making finished jewelry for sale. Followed by a question and answer session. Whether you tend to reach for the same colors over and over or find yourself overwhelmed by all the possibilities, this class will give you some useful tools for making color choices with more confidence—and hopefully encourage you to play with combinations you might not otherwise try.
This is in no way an exhaustive study, but it might well be useful for anyone who is as bead-obsessed as we are.
